Program Overview

The purpose of the program is to provide emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus (including eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care).

Eligibility

Students are only eligible to receive one Summer 2021 CARES Emergency Aid Grant.

To be eligible for the first distribution Summer 2021 CARES Emergency Aid Grant, a student must:

  • Be enrolled in 6 or more hours in the Summer 2021 term as of Wednesday June 23, 2021; or
  • Be enrolled in 3 or more hours in the Summer 2021 term and apply for Summer 2021 graduation by Friday June 18, 2021

To be eligible for the second distribution Summer 2021 CARES Emergency Aid Grant, a student must:

  • Not have already received a Summer 2021 CARES Emergency Aid Grant; and
  • Be enrolled in (or have completed) 6 or more hours in the Summer 2021 term as of Wednesday July 14, 2021

Administration

  • The first distribution to eligible students will be processed on Wednesday June 23, 2021. Receipt time may vary based on the student’s bank or mail time.
  • The second distribution to eligible students will be processed on Wednesday July 14, 2021. Receipt time may vary based on the student’s bank or mail time.
  • Eligible students will receive payment via ACH deposit if they have bank information on file with the business office. Otherwise, payments will be made via check.
