This program provides students with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for a rewarding career in radiography across various medical facilities. By the end of this program, students will be proficient at operating x-ray equipment safely and responsibly. They will be able to perform routine diagnostic x-ray procedures while prioritizing patient safety and rights in adherence to the Texas Medical Board’s guidelines. This course combines 36 hours of classroom instruction and 32 hours of clinicals for a comprehensive learning experience totaling 68 hours.
Students are required to bring their laptops to class. Laptops are essential for in-class activities, assignments, and other important tasks. Bringing your laptop will ensure that you can fully engage in the learning process and participate effectively in all class activities.
Important: Non-Certified Radiologic Technicians are not permitted to perform procedures deemed as Dangerous or Hazardous by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Please refer to §194.17 Dangerous or Hazardous Procedures for the exact list.
Degrees & Certificates
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible for placement on the Texas Medical Board Non-Certified Radiologic Technician Registry.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. ***Total Cost: $1,295 (includes textbooks)Payment Plan: $1,325 Total Cost (includes $30 one-time payment plan fee) The first payment of $353.75 is due at the time of registration and includes the one-time $30 fee. Three additional payments of $323.25 are due monthly. Cash payments cannot be used to set up payment plans; payment plans are set up online. Checking and routing information is preferred. Credit and debit card payments are accepted but additional fees apply.
Financial Aid: TPEG Eligible students may receive financial aid for 50% of the tuition based on the availability of funds. Apply at www.studentaid.gov.
