Child Development

The Child Development/Early Childhood Department offers courses to meet varying needs such as teacher aide, childcare administration, lead teacher in a preschool classroom and CDA training. In addition, the department offers two academic transfer courses (TECA 1303, 1354) that are required to receive a teacher certification in Early Childhood through 6th grade.

The department has scholarship money available for students who are currently working 25-30 hours a week in licensed/registered child care programs. For more information on these scholarships, contact the department chair.
