The Temple College SkillsUSA STEM Club and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society are teaming up to bring “Holiday Town” to the Temple Campus. This event, which will feature a large variety of children’s activities as well as shopping and food truck opportunities, will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Temple College Pavilion.
This coming week (Nov. 27-Dec. 3) will be a busy one for Temple College Athletics as the men’s and women’s basketball teams are scheduled to play a combined five games on their nonconference schedules.
Temple College’s Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program is launching its second Family Literacy cohort with two new exclusive training and certification programs – Introduction to Construction Basics and Retail and Food Service Management.
To meet the demands of the Central Texas community, the Temple College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program is preparing for its largest enrollment ever by providing scholarships for training and certification for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Nursing Assistant (CNA), Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician, Patient Care Technician (PCT), Phlebotomy Technician and Sterile Processing Technician.
Leopard fans now have the opportunity to watch home games live on the PlaySight online platform. And better yet, while they watch, they can hear the games called by Temple College’s new play-by-play announcer Tony Adams, a longtime Central Texas resident and sports journalist.
Temple College Opera Workshop will present “Speed Dating Tonight!” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center on the Temple College campus.
The Temple College/Texas A&M University-Central Texas Symphonic Band will present “Journeys and Voyages” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center on the Temple College campus.
The Temple College Jazz Ensemble will perform its fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center auditorium. The ensemble will share the concert with the award-winning Temple High School Highlighters, the premiere jazz ensemble at Temple High School.
The Temple College Visual Arts Department will host the 44th annual Central Texas Art Competition and Exhibition, featuring artwork crafted by talented college and high school students from across the Central Texas region. The exhibition will run Nov. 11-30.
The Temple Jazz Orchestra, featuring acclaimed musicians from throughout Central Texas, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center on the Temple College campus.
The 2023-2024 Temple College women’s basketball team hosts its first home game of the season at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday versus Dallas College Richland.
Originally performed by The Reduced Shakespeare Company, the Temple College Division of Fine Arts will take on this fast-paced comedy two nights in a row, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3-4, in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre of the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.
