Temple College is hosting a Campus and Community Resource Fair on Monday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Arnold Student Union. The event is open to both students and the general public.
The Central Texas Food Bank is sponsoring free monthly food distribution events at Temple College to help those facing increased food insecurity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Temple College Biological Research Institute has received a $48,151 research grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Temple College Biology Professor Dr. Jason Locklin will use the grant to fund a new zebra mussel research project at Lake Belton and Stillhouse Hollow Lake.
The Temple College Adult Education and Literacy program has scholarships available to help adult learners become certified as pharmacy technicians. The scholarships cover 100% of tuition and certification testing fees.
Temple College has received a $2.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce that will go toward the cost of renovating its Health Sciences Center.
Jackie Silva had a simple message for her fellow students who recently completed certification programs offered by Temple College’s Business and Continuing Division: “We do make a difference.”
