Worked as Assistant Professor for the nursing department at University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Teach in the classroom and clinical setting with lecture, simulation, and clinical learning. Other duties include working with students to refine their assessment skills, drug administration skills, and grading their clinical assignments and performances. In addition, guiding the students on patient advocacy, communication skills with staff, working as a team player in nursing, guiding their patient charting through Simulation charting, and creating care plans. Writing test questions, item analysis, and revisions of exams.

 

August 2013 to 2015

Work as Adjunct Clinical Instructor for Critical Care Nursing course for Indiana State University. Duties include proficient use of Blackboard online learning program to direct and instruct during discussion boards, grade clinical assignments, grade theory assignments, and counsel students during their program. Other duties include being the clinical instructor for multiple students as they complete their critical care clinical in hospitals across the nation.

 

January 2012 to December 2012

Worked as a Teaching Assistant for a LPN to BSN transition course for Indiana State University. Duties include creating power point presentation for class, grading work of the students, occasionally instructing weekly topics. Completed studies and thesis in best practices for online nursing instructors.

PRN Intensive Care Registered Nurse in Scott and White Healthcare Round Rock in Round Rock Texas

Duties included: Administering vaso-active intravenous drips, hemodynamic monitoring, acting as a liaison between doctor and patient, close monitoring of the unstable/stable patient needs, and making appropriate referrals for healthcare and nutrition as necessary.

 

July 2009 to December 2010

Promotion within Scott and White Healthcare Round Rock

Coordinator of Women’s Service

Duties included: Working closely with all women diagnosed with breast cancer at this facility. I coordinated the patient’s care, while expediting much of their weight time between diagnosis and treatment.

I Developed a regular support groups for breast cancer survivors as well as yoga classes for breast cancer survivors.
