Dr. Leon W. Couch III and several other members of the Temple College music faculty will give a free concert Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 300 N. Main St. in Temple.

The program will feature three large variation sets based on the similar themes by Dieterich Buxtehude, J.S. Bach and Gerard Bunk. Flute instructor Sheryl Goodnight will play four movements by Handel and Bach with Dr. Couch. Clarinet instructor Anna Carney, saxophone instructor Dr. Colin Mason and Dr. Couch will premier Dr. Neil Flory’s new composition, “Five Interplays for Clarinet, Saxophone, and Organ”. 

The program is also sponsored by Music Helping Others, and a freewill offering will be collected for local charities during the intermission. Families are welcome to attend all or a portion of the program to accommodate their children.
