COVID Update: Testing takes place on an appointment basis. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows. Testing can be scheduled by emailing testingcenter@templejc.edu. TSIA testing is offered remotely through Zoom on a limited basis. Remote testing is limited to one attempt per student. Students who want to take this test must have a desktop or laptop computer, a strong internet connection, and a private location to take the test undisturbed. Chromebooks and tablets are not compatible with remote proctoring. Please email testingcenter@templejc.edu to arrange a time to take your exam, in person or remotely. The following new workflows are in place for students who want to take tests:

 

  • Please call the Cashier’s Office to pay before arriving to test. Their phone numbers are 254-298-8610 or 254-298-8611.
  • Please leave all personal items in your vehicle, except for your keys and photo ID, as locker usage is temporarily suspended.
  • All campus visitors who are not yet fully vaccinated are asked to wear a mask on campus.

 

The Testing Center provides high-quality testing services that observe and adhere to the National College Testing Association’s Professional Standards and Guidelines. The Testing Center is committed to creating a positive atmosphere where students, faculty, and staff feel comfortable and confident that they will receive services professionally and in a relaxed environment.

The Testing Center offers a comprehensive testing program to assist students with assessing occupational interests and educational achievements. Available tests course placement TSIA2 Assessment, Credit by Examination CLEP, DSST and Temple College Institutional Exams. Also administered are the nursing pre-test HESI A2 for the AND, VN and Diagnostic Medical Sonography programs and the TEAS test for other allied health programs. Tests are proctored for distance learning courses, internet/online courses, make-up exams, and correspondence courses. Students may contact the Testing Center for more specific information on testing. Students should review the Testing Center guidelines, available online and in the Testing Center office, prior-to testing.

Testing Center Payment

Exams that require payment must be paid in advance of testing services. We recommend paying the day of testing. Payment is recommended to be made at the Cashier’s Office at both locations. In the event a payment is taken in the Testing Center, we can only accept cash (exact change preferred), check or money order. Credit/debit card payments must be made at the Cashier’s Office, or by calling 254-298-8610/8611 for the Temple campus, or 512-759-5920 for EWCHEC-Hutto. Please let the cashier know what test you are paying for and to email the testing center a receipt. If you are testing during extended-hours, credit/debit card payments cannot be processed. Please bring an alternative form of payment.
