Testing Center Guidelines
The Temple College Testing Center is available for placement testing (ACCUPLACER, THEA Quick
Test), Distance Education Tests (VCT and internet), HESI A-2 and HOBET tests, Correspondence tests, Credit-by-Examination, makeup tests and other individual tests.
- Most testing is done on a walk-in basis – first come-first served.
- Credit-by-Examination and tests requiring special accommodations are the only tests administered
by appointment.
- Students requiring special accommodations must call or see the Special Accommodations Coordinator at 254-298-8335 or call the Testing Center prior to testing so proper arrangements can be made.
- Examinees must arrive at the Testing Center early enough to complete their tests by the Testing
Center’s posted closing time. Tests will be collected at closing time whether the student has finished or
not. Testing Center hours are posted on the Testing Center webpage.
- Students will be required to present a picture I.D. (preferably a TC Student ID Card).
- Students may bring into the Testing Room only the materials that are allowed for the exam. Other
items such as books, notebooks, pagers, cell phones, laptops, etc. will not be allowed in the Testing
Room. These items must be stored elsewhere or shelved in the Testing Center at your own risk.
- Each test must be taken in one sitting.
- Children will not be allowed to accompany parents in the Testing Room.
- Instructors will:
- instructors will deliver tests to the Testing Center
- provide clear instructions on how tests are to be administered on the Testing Center Cover Sheet
- supply a list of students who will be taking the test -- names and student id numbers
- provide a test for each student if it’s a paper/pencil test or a set of instructions for the student if the
student needs the use of a computer
- pick up and score the tests
- Fees for testing services (where required) must be paid in the Cashier prior to testing. Bring paid receipt to the Testing Center.
