Texas Success InitiativeThe Texas Success Initiative (formerly TASP) is a state-legislated program designed to improve student success in college. There are two components of the program.
Temple College offers two assessments to diagnose students’ basic skills:
Temple College has a plan for students entering the college for the first time. Not all students are required to take an assessment prior to enrolling. Some students may be exempt based on their TAKS, SAT and/or ACT scores or military experience. Some students are transfer students from other colleges and universities. Some of these students may have already met TSI requirements. Check out the plan to see where you fit. Those required to take the assessment test will find the test scores required to be TSI satisfied. If not TSI satisfied, the plan spells out the developmental coursework required to become TSI satisfied.
