ACCUPLACER

The ACCUPLACER Test is one of the tests administered for Texas Success Initiative (TSI) purposes. The ACCUPLACER Test is a computer based test. There are three parts to the test – Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. First time examinees should take all parts. Examinees retesting or those who are exempt from one or more sections may take only the parts needed. Examinees should take some time to study before coming in to retest.

Students may be exempt from the ACCUPLACER test based on ACT, SAT or 11-grade TAKS scores or other criteria for exemptions. The Temple College TSI Plan has information needed to determine whether students meet exemption criteria or whether students even need to test.
