TCD Purpose and Beliefs

Temple College Democrats share a common belief that we can move forward and make our state and nation a better place to live for everyone. We promote social awareness, community involvement and political activism among young people as means to achieve a more fair and just society, and a brighter future for our nation.

  • We believe in equal opportunity for all citizens.
  • We believe every person deserves a quality education.
  • We believe that hard work ought to be rewarded with a living wage, a fair tax system and a retirement worthy of a lifetime of honest work.
  • We believe that citizens should be free from government intervention in their private lives and personal decisions.
  • We believe that health care and housing are rights, not privileges.
  • We believe in a justice system that is fair.
  • We believe diversity is a strength and a worthy goal of our society.
