Financial Aid Office Location and Hours

The Financial Aid Office is located in One College Centre (OCC), on the first floor.

Fall and Spring Semester Office Hours
	Monday thru Thursday	8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
	Friday	8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
	Temple College will be closed December 17, 2011 through January 2, 2012 for Winter Break and March 12 – 16, 2012 for Spring Break.

Summer Office Hours
	Monday thru Thursday	7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
	Friday	Closed
	Summer Hours are from May 23 - August 19, 2011.

What is Financial Aid

It is a concern of many current and prospective college students of how to finance a college education. Financial aid is awarded in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and jobs according to financial need, academic grades, academic load, and/or other eligibility requirements. A student’s personal and family resources are considered in determining the student’s financial need. Most programs require high school graduation, the equivalent (GED), and/or successful completion of the ability to benefit test approved by the Secretary of Education.

Although Temple College attempts to provide financial assistance to those students who, without aid, would not be able to enroll, the primary responsibility for financing a college education rests with the student and his or her family. Financial assistance is intended to supplement (not replace) the student’s financial contribution toward meeting the costs of attending college. STUDENTS MUST APPLY EACH YEAR.
