FTP Help & Suggestion Page

The "Temple College File Transfer Protocol (FTP)" site is an updated version of the former "Upload/Download Site" used in previous semesters. Users familiar with FTP sites may notice that the "Temple College FTP Site" does not have a "root", "bin", "upload" or "public directory" available to browse but does include "folders" assigned and locked to a particular user login.

Commonly reported problems accessing the site are listed below in the "Help and Suggestions" section. If after searching though the questions below you are still having trouble accessing the "Temple College FTP Site" or "uploading/downloading" file(s), contact the Temple College Office of Training and User Support at 254.298.8450 or 254.298.8457.

NOTE: Please be aware that Temple College cannot support "Third Party" software that may be preventing access to the FTP site! We may offer suggestions including contacting the software manufacturing company of the "Third Party" software for assistance OR suggesting that you uninstall/disable the software in question.

• When I try to access the site, I see a flashlight and then an FTP error message appears.
• The login box will not log me on, it keeps asking for my password. Why is this?
