I use Netscape and I get an anonymous login error message. How can I login to the FTP site?

Can I login using Netscape?

When using Netscape to login to the Temple College FTP site your browser may seem to "stall" and do nothing or you may receive the "error message" shown in Figure 1.

If you encounter these problems while using Netscape to access the Temple College FTP site, try the following:

To access the "Public" folder:
Type "public" before the FTP address followed by the "@" sign, in the "address bar" as shown in Figure 2. After pressing enter, a box will appear (See Figure 3) asking for a "password", type "public" (without the quotes) and press enter.

To access your "O" drive:
Enter "your user name" before the FTP address followed by the "@" sign, in the "address bar" (example: jsmith@208.189.120.169). After pressing enter, a box will appear (See Figure 3) asking for a "password", enter "your password" (without the quotes) and press enter.

NOTE: 208.189.120.169 is used for graphic examples only. The real ftp address will be listed on the main ftp help page in blue.

Once you type the password and press enter the folder that you are attempting to access should appear (see Figure 4).

NOTE: The "user name" and "password" is the same one used to access your campus email account or log into computers in classrooms/labs.
