- - Do you have a Firewall installed? |
|
Your computer may have a "firewall" that is preventing access to the "Windows System Files" necessary to use the Temple College FTP site. If you do have a "firewall" installed on your computer, verify that following "system files" can be accessed by other programs. For
Windows 9x/ME: ICSHAREP.VXD, ICSMGR.EXE, NDIS, NetBeui and
IPX if used. . Also you may need to allow the Kernel. It is recommended that all of the above files be "unblocked" to allow access through your "firewall". |

- - Are your trying to access the FTP site from on Campus? |
|
If you are "dialing in" using the TC dial-in number (faculty/staff) or are attempting to access this site from a computer "on campus" then you are considered to be "on the network" and cannot access the FTP site. FTP://208.189.120.169 is for use "outside" of the Temple College Network. NOTE: This also applies to students living in the University Courtyard Apartments and the Temple College-City of Temple Apartments. Call Training and User Support at 254.298.8450 or 8457 for access to the FTP site from "on campus" or see your instructor. |
