When I login, I see a blank screen. Am I logged in to the FTP site?

Figure 1

If nothing appears in the browser window, you may be logged on but have an empty directory.

The easiest way to tell if you are logged into the Temple College FTP Site is to create a "New Folder".

To create a "New Folder", click the "right" mouse button; select "New" from the drop-down menu and then select "Folder". (See Figure 1) NOTE: Screen shots are from Internet Explorer browser views.

Figure 2

If you ARE logged into the FTP Site, a "New Folder" will be created on the blank screen! (See Figure 2) You can either name this "New Folder" for later use or delete it!

If you cannot create a folder in the blank browser window then you are not logged into the FTP site.

NOTE: 208.189.120.169 is used for graphic examples only. The real ftp address will be listed on the main ftp help page in blue.

Figure 3

To delete the "New Folder", right-click the folder that was just created and select "delete" from the drop-down menu. (See Figure 3)
