2006 National Champion Damion Johnson

Damion Johnson , Temple College's #1 player, is the 2006 NJCAA National Champion. Johnson, seeded #6 at the NJCAA championships, upset the #2, #3, and #4 seeds on the way to the title. In the final he edged 2005 Champion Alejandro Gonzalez of Laredo C.C. 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

Johnson, a freshman from Jamaica and a member of the Jamaican Davis Cup team, is the first TC men's player to win the NJCAA crown at #1 singles.
