A symphonic band featuring players from Temple College and Texas A&M University ̶ Central Texas will present a concert titled “Some Music Among Friends” Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center on the Temple College campus.
Brent Colwell, a music professor with a passion for helping students, has been selected to receive the Faculty Development Leave Grant for 2019-2020. Colwell will use the time to spearhead a new student wellness initiative at the college.
The Temple College Orchestra will perform a concert titled “Master Composers: Past and Present” on Tuesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center.
Dr. Leon W. Couch III and several other members of the Temple College music faculty will give a free concert Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 300 N. Main St. in Temple.
Flutist Sheryl Goodnight and pianist Dr. Stephen Burnaman will give a free recital Thursday, Feb. 28, at 12:30 p.m. in the Jackson-Graeter Backstage Theatre at Temple College. The performance is free and open to the public.
A trip to Memphis over spring break gave some students who are studying music at Temple College an opportunity to learn about American music history firsthand and expand their performing experiences.
