The Temple College Symphonic Summer Band will perform a program titled “TV BAND” on Thursday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary Alice Marshall Performing Arts Center on the Temple College campus.

This program will feature iconic music from television shows over the past 60 years, including “Get Smart,” “Downton Abbey,” “Doctor Who,” “Looney Tunes” and “Game of Thrones.”

The Temple College Symphonic Summer Band is comprised of college students, some high school students, professional musicians and adults who love playing their instrument. Brent Colwell, director of the Fine Arts Division at Temple College, has directed the band since 2007.

The concert is $5 for adults and free for students and children. Tickets may be purchased at the door, or at the Fine Arts Division office. All proceeds help fund scholarships for Temple College music majors.
