This scholarly collection offers unmatched full text coverage of information in many areas of academic study.

CINAHL

CINAHL is the authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. This database provides indexing for 2,737 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 1,000,000 records dating back to 1982.

Health Source: Consumer Edition offers authoritative information on health-related questions. With this consumer-health database, discover healthy nutritional guidelines or search for the latest treatments for cancer. The content of Health Source: Consumer Edition is also enhanced with several health books published by the People's Medical Society. With this database you can search for information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals, including nearly 450 peer-reviewed journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals.

Magill's Medical Guide

Magill's Medical Guide covers diseases, disorders, treatments, procedures, specialties, anatomy, biology, and issues in an A-Z format, with sidebars addressing recent developments in medicine and concise information boxes for all diseases and disorders.

MEDLINE

Offers users access to information from all journals indexed in the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE file. Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical services, and much more. Links to full-text of over 350 full-text journals. Included are abstracts and indexing for over 3,800 current biomedical journals published in the U.S. and 70 foreign countries, and citations found in Index Medicus, the International Nursing Index and the Index to Dental Literature.

Ovid Nursing Journals provides users with access to thousands of full-text articles from journals like Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal, Critical Care Nursing Quarterly, Nurse Practitioner, OR Nurse, and dozens of others.

STAT!Ref is an electronic medical library that enables users to cross-search more than 35 medical resources such as Current Medical Diagnosis & Treatment, Mosby's Drug Consult, the Griffith 5 Minute Clinical Consult, and more!

Online Journal Access

Some of the health sciences journals that do not have full-text articles in the online databases offer full-text articles through the Internet to libraries that subscribe to the print version of the journal. We have created a web page with links to journals that are available to Temple College. Online journal access is restricted to currently enrolled Temple College students and to Temple College faculty and staff. You will need to have your user name and password to open the Online Journals page if you are not on a TC campus.

Highwire Full-Text Journals

HighWire Press is a large archive of free full-text health sciences journal articles. High Wire offers over 700,000 free full-text articles. Most of the journals have a 6 or 12 month delay before allowing non-subscribers full-text article access.
