Dictionary of Literary Biography
- Contemporary Authors provides complete
biographical and bibliographical information on more than 120,000
U.S. and international authors. Contemporary Literary
Criticism--Select collects more than 35,000 critical essays on
contemporary authors, with biographical, critical, principal
works, and further study information. Dictionary of Literary
Biography provides nearly 10,000 biographical and critical essays
on the lives, works, and careers of influential literary figures
from all eras and genres.

many subjects. Easy to install software is required to take
advantage of the ability to insert notes, highlight passages and
bookmark, among other personalizing features.

- The EBSCO eBook Collection offers users instant access to ebooks on many subjects including
Computer Science, Nursing, Literature, and History.

- From anthropology to world languages and many subjects in between, Films on Demand makes video content available in an
easy to use database. Films from ABC News, NBC News, NOVA, Ken Burns, BBC, Scientific American Frontiers, Modern Marvels, and many other sources
are part of the thousands available in this database.

Temple College has access to the following multivolume

- JSTOR offers a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive to support scholarship and teaching.
It includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences,
and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work.
- Literature Criticism Online
- Literature Criticism Online articles are delivered in an easy-to-use
24/7 online format that matches the exact look and feel of the print originals. Currently, Temple College has access to Gale's
Short Story Criticism through this database. More sets of literary criticism may be added in the future.
- Literature Resource Center
- Access biographies, bibliographies, and
critical analyses of more than 120,000 authors from every age and
literary discipline. Scribner Writer's Series includes 15-20 page
signed essays on more than 1,600 authors and literary genres drawn
from 13 acclaimed Scribner print series. Twayne World, US, and
English Authors each contains the full text of 200 frequently used
Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, US, or English
authors, for a total of 600 full-text titles.

- Magill on Literature Plus combines Magill on
Authors and Magill on Literature into one searchable database.
MagillOnLiterature is the definitive, online source for
editorially reviewed critical analyses. This database also
includes brief plot summaries of the most studied works in the
history of literature.
- MLA International Bibliography
- MLA International Bibliography contains nearly 11,000 subject names and terms. Subjects consist of literature, language and linguistics, folklore,
literary theory & criticism, dramatic arts, as well as the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Listings on rhetoric and composition and the history,
theory and practice of teaching language and literature are also included. In addition to the bibliography, the database includes the MLA Directory of Periodicals;
the MLA's proprietary thesaurus used to assign descriptors to each record in the bibliography; and a proprietary, searchable directory of noted authors' names,
with links to brief descriptive notes.
