Welcome Parents!
We know you want the best for your child. As a parent, you are helping make decisions about their future. Like most parents, you are probably concerned with the rising costs of higher education.
Dual credit allows your son or daughter to earn college credit while attending high school. In fact, when they get their high school diploma, they could also be graduating with up to 30 hours of college credit that is transferable to any public college or university in Texas. If your child is a student at Legacy ECHS or attending a location classified as a Middle College, then he/she can possibly earn an Associate’s Degree prior to graduating from high school.
Just imagine your child being able to start college as a sophomore, or even a junior. That could save you about $15,000-$30,000!

Parent Orientations
Parent orientations are scheduled at the high school or other locations to help you learn about the costs, benefits, and processes involved for attending college. In addition, these orientation sessions provide information about applying for financial aid, registration, state-mandated testing, eligibility requirements, and other information important to you.
- For more information about parent orientation sessions, please contact the high school counselor, or Temple College at 254-298-8333.
