Dr. Glenda Barron, The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Austin, Texas
Ph.D., The University of Texas at Austin, December 1994 13 years teaching and management experience at the college level (Lamar State College at Port Arthur, Austin Community College, and The University of Texas at Austin); 20 years of service at Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Currently serves as Assistant Commissioner for Student Advancement and Private Institution Oversight. Other THECB roles include Assistant Commissioner for Community and Technical Colleges and Program Director of Universities and Health Affairs Division. Areas of responsibility included increasing enrollment and retention of students, state financial aid programs, state funding for public education, institutional effectiveness and working with the Texas Legislature and other state agencies.
