Jeffrey began his career in EMS in 1989 as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy.  During his 8 years of active duty and 5 years of reserve time, he served in various rolls including; Petty Officer in Charge of Emergency Services, Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, Search and Rescue Corpsman, and Special Boats Unit Corpsman.  During his navy career Jeffrey was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism, the Navy and Marine Achievement Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation 3 times, and the US Coast Guard Commandants Commendation for Valor.  Prior to separating from the Navy, Jeffrey attained his civilian paramedic certification and spent time volunteering in rural Kleberg and Kennedy counties. 

His civilian career includes positions as Lead Paramedic (Fort Bend County EMS), Field Supervisor and Clinical Manager (Waller County EMS), Flight Paramedic (Critical Air Medicine), Medical Administrator (Medcor Inc.), Clinical Manager for Scott and White EMS and currently serves as Director for Coryell Memorial Hospital EMS

Jeffrey has been a state certified EMS Instructor for 8 years and has held lead instructor positions with Golden West EMS, Waller County EMS, and currently Temple College.
