| Thomas is a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Temple Fire & Rescue Department and has served over 19 years with the fire service. He is currently in the Public Education Division, a postion he has held since 1990. Thomas is also the Public Information Officer for the Department. He is known in the schools as "Fireman Tom." He is an EMS Course Coordinator, holds a Master Firefighter, Basic Instructor, and Inspector Certification, and earned an Associates Degree in Fire Protection Technology from Temple College. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the 1998 Texas EMS Public Information Award presented by the Texas Department of Health. He and his wife are the parents of two daughters. | ||||
