Jeff has been involved in EMS since 1990. He began taking EMS classes while attending Texas A&M University.

While at A&M, Jeff worked as a medic for the Department of Recreational Sports and a local retirement community. He also began to volunteer for Cypress Creek EMS in north Harris County (Houston).

In 1993, he received a B.S. in Economics with a minor in Health. After graduation, Jeff began working as a paramedic for Huntsville - Walker County EMS. He later served as Field Training Officer and Supervisor. He also coordinated the CPR training program and served as an Affiliate Faculty for the American Heart Association. While in Huntsville, Jeff also was an instructor for the Continuing Education Division of Sam Houston State University and a firefighter for the Huntsville Fire Department.

Jeff came to Temple College in the Summer of 2001 and became Department Chair in the Fall of 2004. Jeff serves on the Education Committee of the Governor's EMS and Trauma Advisory Committee (GETAC).
