General Lab Directions
Note: There is not enough time in lecture to cover all the material; read your book BEFORE you begin the lab
Check with your Instructor for due date, typically Friday, 11:59PM, of the week assigned

Part 1 Create a résumé as directed below (50%)
Part 2 Complete Quizzes for Chapter 5 (50%)

Create and submit a résumé
Be sure to include the following:Your name (5%)
Your address (5%)
Your e-mail (5%)
Your phone number (5%)
Goals (5%)
Experience (5%)
Education (5%)
References (5%)
Spelled Résumé, not Resume (5%)
Control of text (not Times Roman or Calibri, perhaps Tahoma or Arial (5%)
Control of font size or use a heading (5%)
Either use a table or Résumé Template (Choose Office Button\New\scroll down Templates on left side and Choose Résumé) (5%)
Format (bolds, etc) (5%)
File should be named yourname-resume.docx (No special characters like é are used in file names) (5%)
Appropriately saved (perhaps in a folder named lab 4) (15%)
Appropriately submitted, see below (15%)

Complete D2L quizzes (or Tracking) for Chapter 5
You do NOT need to search for, or create a tracking disk, you will use the D2L quizzes...
Choose cancel when prompted to create a tracking disk, and choose continue if warned about tracking
You may take each D2L quiz on the Practical PC chapters twice, so if you have a typo and get a poor score... do it again

If you were told you were missing items from a previous lab, you may submit them with this lab... or resubmit the other lab.

Grading Criteria:
• Résumé (60%)
   • Résumé is graded by number of points correct/number of points possible *.6
(Zip the entire folder that holds the lab file)
•Practical PC Quiz (40%)
   •Practical PC tracking is graded by number of points correct/number of points possible *.4
• File submitted via https://templejc.desire2learn.com/

Problems? Zip the entire folder and attach to an email:
       •Send the mail to your instructor, cc yourself
       •The subject line should include your name, your class, your section, and what you are submitting
       •Make sure you attach the zipped file

SUBMITTING THE LAB

In Windows, zip the entire lab4 directory, and rename to yourname-lab4.zip.
       •Example: yourname-lab4 or yourname-lab4.zip (if your extensions are visible)
Log into Desire2Learn, choose this class, choose Dropbox, and select Lab 4.
Browse to yourname-lab4.zip and upload it. (Scroll down to see detailed instructions)

You will then take the D2L Quiz(zes). You may use your notes for this part of lab.
Choose the Quizzes menu, and locate quiz(zes) associated with this lab.
