- Create the Presentation Planning Elements - See Tutorial 1 PowerPoint page PPT 8.
- Include at least eight slides, not counting the Title and Summary slide.
- Prepare the presentation to be attractive and eye-catching, as well as informative.
- Create an appropriate attention-getting introduction for your presentation.
- Create a custom background to the Slide Master (by using gradient fill, textured background, logos, and graphic elements) that corresponds to your presentation.
- Design the PowerPoint presentation with an attractive color scheme, background objects, fonts, font size, and font colors.
- Create a title slide and at least three other slides with bulleted lists.
- Add animation and/or sound effects to each slide that contains a bulleted list.
- Include clip art or other graphic images on at least three slides.
- Include at least one animated GIF picture in your presentation.
- Use a photo-editing program to apply an artistic effect to at least one of the pictures.
- Create a PowerPoint table with information about your activity. No credit will be given for bitmap graphics.
- Create at least one PowerPoint diagram or chart. For example, you might prepare an organization chart, or a graph. No credit will be given for bitmap graphics.
- Include at least one video clip and one sound clip.
- Include a summary that recaps the key ideas in your presentation.
- Add appropriate slide transitions and slide animation effects with built-in sounds to your PowerPoint presentation.
- Spell check your presentation, and then check for any style problems.
- Print the presentation as handouts with six slides per page as a PDF file.
- Practice your presentation in front of one or more classmates or family members, and complete the evaluation part of the Presentation Delivery Worksheet.
- Give your presentation to your classmates on December 7, 2011.
- Save the PowerPoint presentation, PDF files of Handouts, Presentation Planning Elements, and Presentation Delivery Worksheet on a CD/DVD to be turn in at the beginning of class on December 7, 2011.
