Individual Presentation Project
ITSW 1310 - Fall 2011

  1. Complete a Purpose and Outcomes Worksheet for the presentation.

  2. Complete an Audience Analysis Worksheet.

  3. Complete a Situation and Media Assessment Worksheet.

  4. Include at least ten slides, not counting the Title Slide.

  5. Prepare the presentation to be attractive and eye-catching, as well as informative.

  6. Create a custom background to the Slide Master (by using gradient fill, textured background, logos, and graphic elements) that corresponds to your presentation.

  7. Design the PowerPoint presentation with an attractive color scheme, background objects, fonts, font size, and font colors.

  8. Modify the fonts and text alignment on the Slide Master and Title Master.

  9. Include at least one animated GIF picture in your presentation.

  10. Use a photo-editing program to apply an artistic effect to at least one of the pictures.

  11. Create a PowerPoint table with information (real or fictitious) about your activity. No credit will be given for bitmap graphics.

  12. Create at least one PowerPoint diagram or chart. For example, you might prepare an organization chart, or a graph. No credit will be given for bitmap graphics.

  13. Copy two or more of the slides to a Content slide, and hyperlink them to their respective slides in the presentation.

  14. Spell check your presentation, and then check for any style problems.

  15. Include a summary that recaps the key ideas in your presentation.

  16. Add transition effects to all the slides in the presentation, and, where appropriate, animations and built-in sound.

  17. Create notes on at least eight of the slides to describe the content in more detail.

  18. Print the presentation as handouts with six slides per page in a PDF file.

  19. Print the presentation as Notes Pages in a PDF file.

  20. Set up the presentation to be self-running. You don't need to include action buttons unless you feel they would be appropriate.

  21. Save the PowerPoint presentation, PDF files of Handouts, Notes, and all Worksheets to your O:drive under the "ITSW1310" folder in a folder labeled "Individual". They may also be saved on disk media (3.5" disk or CD/DVD) and turned in on December 7, 2011 during class time.
