•After reading the syllabus and syllabus appendix, complete the Syllabus Quiz in D2L (not graded, but must be completed before you can access discussions

• Getting Started (Practical PC Chapter
1),
• Windows (Practical PC Chapter 2),
• and eMail (Practical PC Chapter
9)

•My notes duplicate my traditional class lecture, the point of which is to try to fill in the gaps left by text books.
•Your book doesn't cover the following as well as I would like:
•Zip: A file that can contain multiple files, or more importantly, a file that is compressed to take up less space;
useful for emailing attachments, or for uploading.
NOTE: the ZIP contents are not always usable as is.
Thus, you should not try to read or edit zip files until you download them and extract them.
If redoing a lab, delete the zip, and edit the original files.
Lab 2 includes creating a zip. After reading the instructions, you may watch a video on the process here.
