To set up the Linux so you can use a floppy disk, or access mail and distance education tools:
Disk Mounter
Download Firefox
Update Mozilla icon on Panel
Log in as the root user
Add the Floppy Mounter
•Right Click a blank part of the gray panel
•Choose +Add Panel
•Choose
Utility\
Disk Mounter
unmounted disk drive
mounted floppy
if floppy in, click to mount disk (floppy icon appears on desktop)
Get the newest Browser
• Go to http://www.mozilla.com and download newest Firefox browser
• Click OK to save

•Accept the recommended location and filename by clicking Save

• Close the Download Manager when finished

• Open the home folder
•Right Click the tar.gz file (a kind of zip file),
•Choose Extract Here
• Once finished, open the new Firefox folder, and double click firefox

• Choose to Run, the selection to the far right

Replace old Mozilla icon with Firefox
•1) Right Click the Mozilla icon on the gray panel, choose Properties
•2) To replace the command, click Browse...

• Browse to the firefox folder (/root/firefox)and choose firefox

• To change the icon, right click the icon, and choose browse.
• Browse.back to /root/firefox and choose the icons folder
• select the 50 pixel icon.

• Change the name of the launcher to Firefox
• The final product should look as below, and replace Mozilla 1 with Mozilla Firefox
