2401 Capstone project
Create a scenario where you are required to setup and configure a Windows 2003 server

Term Paper
3-5 pages
1” margins
Double spaced
12 pt Times Roman

Your paper must contain:
An introduction: the goals of your network, and the how the goals will be met by
1) documentation,
2) disk preparation and installation choices,
3) installation of services,
4) group creation and permissions
5) monitoring, and
6) remote access.

You then will have at least one paragraph on each major task, and WHY certain choices were made.

(Why certain items are included in your system documentation,
why FAT, NTFS, basic or dynamic disks where selected,
why particular services, such as Active Directory, File and Printer sharing, IIS, etc., were installed,
why certain groups were created, and what permissions they have,
which baseline measurements will be taken; describe the warnings, alerts, etc. that will be monitored, and why
what remote access will be implemented, and why certain clients, policies, and remote access tools were selected)

Finally, you will draw a conclusion; this will be where you recap the choices made, and justify this installation meeting the goals of the server.

You may actually work with your server hard drive to actually DO the reinstall and configuration, or simply to use as a reference.

Due, prior to taking the Final

Please note: you cannot pass if you do not turn in this capstone project
