Items to accomplish during the current course time frame:

•Read\Review
   • NOTE: After you start a new Dreamweaver document, SAVE IT where it belongs immediately.
   • Intro to Dreamweaver (includes links to making and using backgrounds, and tables)
   • Web Design Class site map (includes links to all things HTML, use [Ctrl]+[F] to search the page for items)
       • If you are interested: Creating your own background
       • Free background images
       • If you are interested: Background info on Tables in HTML, and more Complex Tables
       • Editor: Dreamweaver CS, w/ Shockwave Movie
       • If you are interested: Designing Frames (optional, not well supported on mobile devices and older browsers)
       • Free alternative to DreamWeaver: NVu/KompoZer (NVu/Kompozer, free download)

   • Making your movies web page ready
        • Drag a movie into Adobe Media encoder, and click Start Queue to process the movie into an f4v
        • Rename the movie to an flv
        • In Dreamweaver, on your media page, you Insert/Media/FLV... (note, use the handy button to determine height and width)
        • Recall, Dreamweaver is NOT a browser, after saving you can press F12 to open a browser to test your video.

   • Lab 8 Your 'Planning document' and beginnings of your capstone site, the first step towards Lab 9 and lab 10
      • Note: Lab 9 is your 'working model' version of your capstone site
      • Note: Lab 10 is your 'Final' CD and your capstone site


•Submit by 11:59 pm, Friday, of the current week (see due dates)

   • MUD 11 (My Understanding, Details) Respond in the class D2L Discussion forum to the following:
      What topics, if any, during this time frame do you feel very comfortable with? Why?

      What is the problem of learning to do Dreamweaver, without first learning HTML?
