•Note: Please read the related overview material before continuing
Check with your Instructor for due date, typically the last Friday, 11:59PM (see due dates)

•Theory introduced in Lab 10 (link to theory part of lab)
•Begin creating, editing, and modifying documents for Lab 10 (link to activity requirements)
•Answer questions concerning topics covered in Lab 10
(You will later transfer this information into a D2L quiz)

At the end of this process,
1) you will submit the document files by zipping them, and placing them in the Desire2Learn dropbox area. Instructions on zipping are below.
2) you will be 'turning in' your documentation and Q&A by taking the Lab 8 quiz in the Quizzes area of Desire2Learn. So, to get the best score, complete the documentation and Q&A as directed below, first.

Part 1: Documentation, (30%)

At the end of this process, you will be turning in answers using the Quizzes area of Desire2Learn, based on the following. So, to get the best score, fill in all the answers in this document first.

Theory: Structure

Theory: Examples

Examples of Lab 10

Design your portfolio web site on paper, including common look and feel, and individual documents and content
Scan if needed to include in lab10 dropbox.

Part 2, Activity (70%):Your portfolio, 4 page minimum

 • Quick Start: Copy your lab 9 folder, and call the copy lab10
 • After designing your full portfolio, save your design in the Lab10 folder; scan if needed (50%)
     • decide what previous work you may use, and copy into the lab10 folder as well
     • Include documents converted to pdf
     • Include graphics converted to png
     • Include graphics converted to optimized jpeg
     • Include a/v file
     • Include web friendly a/v files converted to rm, flash, mp3, etc.
     • Build index.html splash page that links to pages that display your pdfs/web pages, images, and media

 • Burn a CD/DVD, with autoplay, with your full website; full and compact versions of all of your files, (40%)

 • Optional Upload your web site (with sample compact versions of (some of) your files) to a non-campus web server
 • Create a document that contains your URL saved in the lab10 folder (10%)

Guidance on what to turn in. After building and burning the CD, you may wish to remove some of the high bandwidth content before uploading your perhaps scaled back version to the web server. For the dropbox, you may remove most of the media, leaving samples;
then zip the lab 10 folder than now contains the design, the URL, the web pages, and some media

NOTE: Please include the web structure and sample files, but not the entire web site or CD contents, in your lab10 folder
I do not want you to upload the entire CD to the dropbox... just the web structure, sample files, your URL, and your design.

See my Portfolio for an extreme example
