Items to accomplish during the current course time frame:

•Read\Review
   • Colors
   • Setting the background and foreground colors in the GIMP
   • More about layers and the xcf filetype
   • Using Text
   • Video on Layers and Text

•Activities (preview of Lab 8)
   • Create new layers
   • Add colored shapes to an Image
   • Add text to an image
   • Save the image and it's layers in the xcf format
   • Export a flattened, merged version of the image to the png or jpeg format

   •Lab 8 (link to beginning of lab)
   •Begin creating and testing Lab (link to graphic construction requirements)
     (You will later transfer this information into a D2L dropbox)
   •Quiz for Lab 8
     (The 'quiz' this time is to describe using the tool of Lab 7)

     • Optional: Open/save an Acrobat pdf document to print with directions
       (get Adobe Acrobat Reader free, here)
     • Optional: Right click/save a Word doc document to print with directions
     • Optional: Right click/save a Rich Text rtf document to print with directions
   •Complete Lab 8 and verify your
   (You will later transfer this information into a D2L dropbox)

•Submit by 11:59 pm, Friday, of the current week (see due dates)
   • Lab 8 as directed

      Photoshop and the GIMP are not drawing or paint tools, they are photoediting tools.
      That is why it is perhaps a little more difficult to paint a circle for example. So, how do you paint a circle?
