Next May, Temple College will offer a three-hour undergraduate drawing class in Connemara, Ireland. Students can draw some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. You may enroll in any level: beginning, intermediate, or for non credit. This is the seventh year we have tried to make this a wonderful learning experience at the lowest cost possible.

Included in the itinerary will be a visit to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher as well as exploring the coastal village of Roundstone. Next will be an overnight stay in Ballynahinch Castle with dinner included. Students will be able to explore and draw the 300 acre estate which includes beautiful rivers, lakes, woodlands, and hiking trails. The class will spend one day drawing at Bunratty folk park and Bunratty Castle. Weekends are free time for students to travel or rest.

The class will then ferry to the lovely island of Inishmore with its historic ruins, cliffs, pubs, and fishing harbors. After a three day stay there, the remainder of the course will be taught in the picturesque village of Clifden.  Within easy walking or biking distance are the scenic Sky Road, Clifden Castle, and the harbor. Archeologist Michael Gibbon will give the class a 1/2 day walk through historic Ireland exploring fauna, flora, and the ruins of ancient civilizations.
