Policies

TUITION

• Students enroll for a 12-week term which may be paid in full or divided into two equal payments. 
• The $35 administration fee and ½ tuition is due by the first class day and the student may not start any classes or lessons until this first payment is received. 
• All classes and private lessons will be contingent on space and early payment of the registration fee will hold that spot until the first class day. 
• The final payment is due by November 1.

You are responsible for paying for all 12 lessons/classes even if you decide to discontinue before the semester ends as our teachers are contracted for the entire semester. 

Any additional private lessons during the term may be paid directly to the teacher.

PAYMENTS

Fall Payments may be divided into two equal payments.
FINAL PAYMENT DUE NOVEMBER 2

ALL STUDENTS WILL PAY one registration fee of $35 for the FALL SEMESTER, regardless of how many classes.

MAKEUP LESSONS

• Makeup lessons will only be scheduled when the private teacher has been notified directly the preceding evening by 9:00.  Any exceptions require the approval of the director.  A maximum of two lessons may be rescheduled a semester. 
• A student who is 15 minutes late is considered a “no show”.
• Private teachers are responsible for making up all lessons or partial lessons he/she missed.

JAZZ LESSON SCHOLARSHIPS

The Central Texas Jazz Society provides a limited number of fall semester jazz lesson scholarships to qualified instrumental students in grades 7 – 12. These students will study with members of the Temple Jazz Orchestra. Students are to contact their school band director for applications which are also available on this website.

LESSON/ENSEMBLE SCHOLARSHIPS

The Academie has a limited amount of scholarship aid.  All scholarships are both need and merit based.  Students are expected to participate in all applicable ensembles, participate in all applicable ensemble concerts, sign a practice contract, and participate in the spring fundraiser.  Please contact the Academie director for an application.

ALL REQUESTS FOR NON-JAZZ SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE MUST BE MADE BY AUGUST 24.
