Michael is a drummer, singer, and songwriter from Temple, Texas. Michael has been performing professionally since age 16. for the past six years he's been the drummer for the Temple Jazz Orchestra (TJO) and he can be heard on four of TJO's recordings. With TJO Michael has appeared with artists Eric Marienthal, Eddie Daniels, Ed Shaughnessey, Gordon Goodwin, Randy Brecker, and Bill Watrous.

Outside of TJO Michael has performed with and/or opened for artists such as Dennis Yost, Gary P. Nunn, Ron Wilkins, Ray Price, Percy Sledge, Peter Erskine, Johnny Rodriguez, Archie Bell, Dwight Yaokum, Johnny Lyon, Connaitre Miller, Willie Nelson, Los Super Vatos, Darrell McCall, Cory Morrow, Frenchie Burke, Dave Weckl, Brave Combo, Johnny Bush, Pat Green, and others.

In the late 1990's Michael organized and fronted his own band, MorrisCode performing extensively in Central Texas for more than four years. In 2007-08 Michael toured with 2008 Grammy-nominee, Polka Freak out.

Michael is in demand as a drummer, percussionist, vocalist and songwriter and has appeared on more than a dozen recordings and is very passionate about performing live music. He can currently be seen on stage with numerous artists such as The Cain't Hardly Playboys, RTC & The Tailgaters, Alex Mexiner, Bubba Hernandez Y Los Super Vatos, Last Call, and of course TJO.
