Your answers to the following questions should be emailed to me.

 

Question 1:

 

Identify and discuss the shatterbelts of world religions.  Why do you think these shatterbelts exist where they do?  What other shatterbelts are there?

 

 

Question 2:

 

Why does the growth of cities in the developing world present different problems than in cities such as New York or Tokyo?  What are the issues and concerns?  Why will this probably be a problem?

 

 


Question 3:

Describe the energy balance of the earth.  How does this control air and water currents?  What is its role in weather?  How can latitude be used as a guide to describe conditions around on the planet?

 

 

Question 4:

Describe the HIV trends in Asia and Africa.  Why is this a serious problem?  How are various countries (donor and other) addressing this problem?  Check your notes for answers.
