Clinical activities take place in the Jean and Ralph Wilson Dental Hygiene Clinic, located in the Health Sciences Center on the Temple College East Campus. The clinic, a state-of-the-art fully functional facility, opened in January 2004. The clinic is named for Ralph Wilson, D.D.S., a retired dentist, and his wife, Jean, who made a generous donation to Temple College for the new Dental Hygiene Clinic. The clinic features 12 operatories, a complete radiography suite with a panoramic x-ray machine and four standard units, dental materials lab, central infection control room, and a waiting area/reception room.
Patients receive the full spectrum of preventive care, including cleaning and polishing, fluoride applications, sealants, radiographs, tobacco cessation education, nutritional counseling, and home care instruction.
