Next May, Temple College will offer a three-hour undergraduate drawing class in one of the most beautiful regions of Ireland: Connemara. Students can draw some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. You may enroll in any level: beginning, intermediate, or advanced courses. Temple College has tried to make this a wonderful learning experience at the lowest cost possible.

Included in the itinerary will be a visit to the dramatic Cliffs of Moher on western Ireland's coast and a stay in the quaint village of Ballyvaughn. Students will have an opportunity to sketch the famous PoInabrone Dolmen, one of Ireland's best known megalithic structures. The class has special permission to draw this 6,000 year old tomb that is off limits to the general public. Next will be a stay on the island of Inishmore with its historic ruins, cliffs, pubs, and fishing harbors. After a three day stay there, we will travel and live in the picturesque village of Clifden.

Within easy walking distance is the harbor, scenic Sky Road, and the ruins of Clifden Castle. Archeologist Michael Gibbon will give the class a 1/2 day walk through the area boglands, exploring incredible fauna, flora, and the ruins of ancient civilizations. Last will be an overnight stay in Ballynahinch Castle with dinner included. Students will be able to explore and draw the 350 acre estate which includes beautiful rivers, lakes, woodlands, and hiking trails.

The course includes a 16-day stay on the emerald Isle. Students will have free time on weekends to explore other regions of Ireland if they wish.
