At TC we want your education to prepare you for the future. This process of preparation makes many things much more convenient for college students. It is important that you make yourself familiar with the technology associated with learning.
After you have registered for classes, you will get a TC web-mail address. This will be the campuses primary form of communication with you. You will also receive many important, pertinent, and useful notices regarding opportunities, deadlines, etc.
Students are also given access to T-Connect accounts, the TC online personal student information site. Many classes that a student takes will often begin with learning how to access this site. Financial Aid, online tutoring, transcripts, and grades are just a few of the many links you will find on this site.
Along with on campus tutoring resources, TC makes available, to all students, SMARTHINKING (an online synchronous and asynchronous tutoring available 24/7).
Nearly all classes offered at TC are also available in an online format or traditional (live) format. The online learning platform used for our internet students is called Desire 2 Learn (D2L). D2L is extremely user friendly and backed up with strong user support.
Technology is no longer an optional skill. If you want a quality education, you will have to learn about (and use) the technology of effective communication. Listed below are the top 10 computer skills that you will need to be successful in college. These are not the only ones, but you will need these to get started.
