After you have applied, given transcripts, and met testing requirments you are ready to register for classes.

Things you need to consider when selecting classes:

  • Do you have work hours you need to schedule around?
  • Do you have child care or other family obligations you need to schedule around?
  • How many classes can you REALISTICALLY take with your current lifestyle and obligations?
  • Are you working at night? When are planning on studying? When are you planning on sleeping? Will you be available to attend classes?
After you have taken all of the above into consideration, you are ready to see an advisor. The Temple College Advising Center is a crack team of professionals, but you need to be prepared before you go in there. Know how many hours of classes you think you would like to take and have a schedule of classes built with the following criteria in mind:
  • are open (there is still space in the class for people to enroll)
  • you are qualified to take (qualified means you have satisfied all prerequisites or have taken any classes that need to passed beforehand)
  • that don’t overlap each other (no time conflicts)
Go to the Class Schedule to see what classes are available. If you don’t understand how it works, ask anyone in One College Center for help.
