F.A.Q.
1. What is your school code?
The Temple College school code is 003627 for all three campuses.

2. How do I apply for Financial Aid?
After you have applied to TC, we suggest that you visit fafsa.ed.gov and fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application online. Separate applications are needed for scholarships, and loans. These forms are available in the Financial Aid Office (in the One College Centre building). The college work-study program is awarded on a first come first serve basis to eligible students every semester. Work-study positions are a form of financial aid! Students applying through the electronic FASFA for the first time will have to apply for a PIN. The PIN authorizes an electronic signature for FASFA on the web. Your parents will also need a PIN to sign the FAFSA online (if your parent(s) claim you as a dependent). Students will be instructed what steps to follow when they log into the web site.

3. Do I need to complete the FAFSA before applying for a Student Loan?
Yes, students requesting a student loan must complete the FAFSA. The Financial Aid Office determines your general eligibility for a Student Loan. There are subsidized and unsubsidized loans available. The subsidized loans are awarded based on need. This need is determined by the results from the FAFSA. More information is available from brochures in your Financial Aid Office.

IMPORTANT: Your FAFSA application allows for up to 6 school codes. Please be sure to list the Temple College code (0033627) in order for aid to be accessed. Many students choose to attend 2 institutions at one time (ie. UMHB and TC). However, financial aid can only be obtained through one institution at a time.
