Everyone should apply for Financial Aid!!

There are 4 kinds of Financial Aid (FA).
  1. Grants – Free money, given to you to go to school based upon income needs
  2. Scholarships – Free money given based upon merit (past performance)
  3. Loans – this is money loaned to a student at a lower than market interest rate, with a structured yet flexible repayment plan.
  4. Student Worker - At the beginning of every semester, students can apply to be student workers.

**No one ever wants to incur debt that they don’t have to, BUT … you should always ask for ALL grants, scholarships, and loans when applying for FA. Remember: You don’t have to take what you don’t need, but you should always have a backup plan (ie. Loan money available). Unforeseen events can interrupt a college education without warning (ie. Car repair, health problems, housing issues, etc.)**
