Eighteen students from Temple College received Academic Student-Athlete Awards from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Three students made the First Team, which recognizes student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA. They were Abigail Royall (volleyball), Alexandra Grimaldo (softball) and Hannah Smyers (volleyball).

Seven students made the Second Team, which recognizes student-athletes with a 3.80-3.99 GPA. They were Taylor Beltz (volleyball), Mikayla Blount (baseball and volleyball), Nicholas Clawson (baseball), Kelsie Murie (softball), Maxwell Portman (basketball), Karina Sanchez (softball) and Lindsey Taylor (softball).

Eight students made the Third Team, which recognizes student-athletes who maintain a 3.60-3.79 GPA. They were Kyle Bradford (baseball), Madison Goodman (softball), Brock Grabarkewitz (baseball), Kristen Grothues (softball), Mallory Johnson (softball), Skye Koehl (softball), Riley Lopp (softball) and McKenzie Winkler (softball).
